Social media fame is in its golden years - with YouTubers going to the Met and Instagram influencers walking the runway. Social media influencers hold a silent power in that they know their day-to-day tasks interest us. Chocolate seems to be the running theme for NZ's social media viral food fads, one of the biggest was Lewis Road Creamery's Whitaker's chocolate milk in 2014. I think we get obsessed with food items in NZ because food is the great equaliser. Most of these viral food fads are accessible, from the rich to the broke, to the young and old, we can all be in on the latest food craze.
