I know most big coffee chains here seem to know only latte, cappuccino and Americano, but in Australia there is a concoction called a flat white, which is a cross between a straight black coffee and a latte. Perhaps introducing that to Thai menus could be the answer. In the meantime, I am reminded of reading about an Englishman who was travelling in Italy tried to get extra toppings on his pizza at a shop in Napoli. The owners politely explained that it was no longer authentic pizza if you made additions to the original recipe. Bruce in Bangkok
