Now, there’s a new smartphone-controlled counter-top device that turns leftover fruit into cider, wine or mead, Munchies reports. The creator, Taiwan-based startup Alchema, claims that using the gadget is “as easy as making coffee”: simply add fruit, yeast, sugar, and water. The system can be controlled from a smartphone app, which allows for adjustments in temperature, alcohol content and sweetness. Depending on the type of fruit and recipe used, you’ll be sipping your own home-brewed cider in between one to weeks.
