Running two browser windows side-by-side is one of the primary use cases for split-screen, but it's not at all clear how you do that in Android. You can't just launch two copies of Chrome because the split-screen app mode doesn't allow multiple instances of a single app. First, open Chrome and pull up at least two tabs. Long-press the Android overview button to open the split-screen app selector. When you close the second window by dragging the divider all the way up or down, all your Chrome tabs are merged back into a single instance.
