This executive probably has a lot of requests for his or her time – business to conduct, executive colleagues to appease, direct reports to manage, aspiring proteges to mentor. There needs to be a reason why you’re trying to get that executive to notice you. I get a lot of questions about how to get a senior executive to notice you or even mentor you. Senior people are not inaccessible but you still have to do the work.
