Fans of the series will instantly recognize the concept from Far Cry 4, which had a similar alternate ending in place. The Far Cry 5 secret ending is similar on the outside, but it's clearly more of an homage than anything else. So while it's the same idea, it doesn't quite have that same clever spark of Far Cry 4's. Which is alright, because Far Cry 5 is a better game.
