SyncsortI’ve written before about Conway’s Law and the differing perspectives in the tech world about how applicable it is to today’s enterprise organizational structure. It’s almost like a form of genetics for organizational structure — if you have a bad structure, it will be bred into everything that your produce. Conway’s law is therefore highlighting the interaction between technology and overall organizational composition. One question that occurred to me in thinking about this is: Can Conway’s law be used consciously to accelerate progress? Yoğurtçu’s work is an example of how, as an engineering executive, you can use organizational structure to promote the transformation you want within a business.
