The National Super Alliance leader Raila Odinga coughed out millions of shillings in the run up to the August 8 election, including Sh47 million plus expenses to a US consultancy. One of the key assignments for the foreigners was to set up a well-equipped parallel tallying centre which never came to be. Also in the list of those deported were two Ghanaians, Harry Mackinson and Jonathan Boye, who were kicked out the same day Nasa tallying centre in Westlands was raided and vandalised allegedly by Jubilee. According to the Star, Raila paid Aristotle International Sh23 million for two-months but later extended the duration after paying another Sh14 million. The paper goes on to add that Nasa technocrats and members of think tank staff were paid an average Sh800,000 monthly.
