LINCOLN — Alexis Markowski was definitely a starter for the Nebraska women’s basketball team last season. Markowski averaged 11.9 points per game last season and is at 15.9 points this season. The junior center from Lincoln has cracked the top 20 for career scoring at Nebraska already in just three seasons — she’s 19th in the rankings with 1,259 points. Markowski attributes the 4-point jump in her scoring average to being a little more involved in the offense. Markowski has also been pretty consistent from game to game, scoring in double figures in 27 of 28 games (the exception being a blowout loss against Ohio State).
