Kenya’s Ruth Chepngetich ran a sensational race on Sunday, October 9 to successfully defend her 2022 Bank of America Chicago Marathon title. Ruth Chepngetich celebrates winning the 2021 Bank of America Chicago Marathon title on October 10. Runners WorldKenyans.co.ke sought to establish the amount of money Chepngetich will receive for her heroics. The Japan-based Marathon is one of the highest paying road races in the world despite not being part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors series. The Abbott World Marathon Major series consists of six marathons that include the Boston Marathon, Chicago Marathon, New York Marathon, Tokyo Marathon, Berlin Marathon, and London Marathon.
