It was a pretty brief coming together, but certainly caught the attention of the Liverpool fans who had plenty to say about it on social media. Lovren joined Liverpool from the Saints all the way back in 2014, and has endured a sometimes difficult tenure at the Merseyside club. It's unclear who the Reds boss regards to be his best centre-back behind Van Dijk, and, as a result, it seems as if some Liverpool fans have made U-turns in regards to Lovren. So much so that it now seems as if a lot of Liverpool fans think Lovren will actually be the man to partner the Holland international in the centre of the Reds' defence.
