I always wondered about all the engineers in the fancy buildings I drove past in central Israel (I live in a small Arab village called Kfar Qara in the north of the country). We were from the same village and neither of us knew that the other was studying tech. It was the archetypal Israeli tech startup that was succeeding globally. Like most young Arabs going for interviews at Israeli tech companies, I was shy and nervous. Failure is also not accepted in the Arab population the same way it is by Israeli Jews.
