Renaud PhilippeShe is the creator of one of 2017's must-have toys: Fingerlings. As its name suggests, Fingerlings are robotic monkey toys that attach to your finger, and respond to touch and voice. So how did a Brand Manager at Montreal-based toy company WowWee create one of the year’s hottest toys? Since the August 2017 launch of Fingerlings, WowWee has had a clear-cut winner on their hands: retailers can barely keep the toys in-store. I pitched the idea of a robotic finger monkey based on that photo, and worked with the WowWee team to create Fingerlings.
