Last week, ESPN let go of about 100 or so "talent" and behind-the-scenes people. I doubt that 8,000 word think pieces in ESPN The Magazine are long for this Earth either. We're not reading as many articles and the CPMs for ads next to those text articles keep dropping in price. So don't expect to see Zach Lowe writing many 9,000 word articles in 5 years from now breaking down one of the NBA teams with embedded YouTube clips. Expect more Zach Lowe videos breaking down a team, podcasts, appearances on The Jump on TV discussing a team, etc.
