David Stern ran the NBA for three decades and his leadership took basketball from an era when playoff games were on tape delay, to being so popular that the league gets $2.66 billion a season for its national media rights. I recently sat down with Stern for our four-time Emmy Award winning television show, Forbes SportsMoney, to try to find out if there was one, key ingredient to his success. My conclusion: he thirst for knowledge keeps him on the top of his game. In the video below, also shown on FS 1 and the YES Network, Stern also discusses what he thinks of virtual reality, Esports, sports gambling and his investments in sports technology.
