To be sure, just as some Ultra-Secularists bristle at the status quo, some individual haredim may act in uncouth ways. But Israeli haredim as a group are not plotting to undermine Israeli society. Mr. Aslan’s errant portrayal of Israel’s haredim couldn’t have come at a more ironically meaningful moment.
