Surely, critics say, Big Tech is big because it is in tech and enjoys network effects. And although Big Tech might have been using some versions of Agile practices, like Amazon’s “two pizza teams” these firms are also full of sweatshops—the opposite of Agile principles. Big Tech Is Not Just TechAnother element we need to understand is that Big Tech is not just tech. In some cases, however, while some Big Tech firms have used Agile principles with their top talent, in other parts of the firm, they have deployed sweat-shop conditions that are antithetical to Agile principles.
