CyArk (cyark.org) was showing how modern data gathering and analysis techniques can be used to create a immersive experience of human history. At the CyArk exhibit I was able to explore an ancient ruin in the Near East using VR goggles. I could see details about the ruin that would be hard to see visiting the real location. CyArk Photo--Used with their permissionKeeping all of the data involved uses a lot of storage, hence CyArk’s participation in the Seagate exhibit. The data starts off being collected on flash memory cards and then it is transferred to Seagate LaCie rugged drives.
