Arsenal turned to Mikel Arteta in November after deciding that, after months of struggling Unai Emery, enough was enough. When Arsenal were a Premier League powerhouse under Arsene Wenger, they were known for their free-flowing football. Arsenal under Wenger were also tough and nasty, though, when they needed to be. In the years since those players have left, Arsenal have fallen down the pecking order in English football. And Arteta, according to Football London, felt as though the Gunners needed toughening up when he first walked in to replace Emery last month.
