Exit polls suggest that the saffron party will likely open its accounts in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, where it had no wins in the previous elections. The BJP could win 1-3 seats in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, signalling a shift in areas traditionally dominated by regional parties. Opposition voices suggested that Modi was losing his grip and wouldn't be able to save the BJP. However, the BJP defied expectations with a remarkable comeback on ‘Modi ki Guarantee’, securing victories in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh. Faced with the hurdle of anti-incumbency, the BJP chose not to nominate any chief ministerial candidates in these states.
