“Inherently the audience will be rooting for him, through the campaign and the concessions and choices he will have to make,” Sutherland says. “It’s going to put his morality and decency in question. and the audience will have to wait until the end to see if he can come back from that or not. That’s an interesting drama to me. It’s as simple as that.”
