Quentin Grimes scored 24 points as Houston led from start to finish on the road to beat South Carolina 76-56 in in Columbia, S.C., on Sunday afternoon. South Carolina won the turnover battle, 17-9, but never got closer than 10 points in the second half. Houston started the second half where it left off in the first, with forward Fabian White snagging a rebound and then feeding Hinton with an outlet pass. South Carolina cranked up its effort, going to a full-court, 1-2-2 trap late in the second half, cutting the lead to 11. Grimes slipped along the South Carolina baseline late in the game, and went to the bench, where a team trainer attended to his left leg.
