That is also true this season; 2021 is the most important season of Jose Altuve’s career. Following the exposé of the Houston Astros sign stealing scandal Jose Altuve couldn’t have picked a worse time to have his worst offensive season. Between 2015-2016 Jose Altuve increased his walk rate by 3.6% which was the 12th largest increase in all of MLB per Fangraphs. Once again the Houston Astros, and more specifically, Jose Altuve have a lot to prove in the 2021 season.
