Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Sherif El-Sherbiny held a meeting to review progress on ongoing works at the site designated as an alternative location for the Samla and Alam Al-Roum areas, as well as to assess the current status of compensation procedures for affected residents. During the meeting, officials presented a detailed overview of the compensation framework for residents of Samla and Alam Al-Roum, outlining the mechanisms in place to safeguard citizens’ rights and ensure fair and timely entitlements. At the conclusion of the meeting, El-Sherbiny stressed the importance of accelerating inventory and compensation procedures to increase handover rates and maintain the momentum of ongoing development projects. The minister further directed that the master plan for the alternative Bedouin community should incorporate all essential services, including educational, healthcare, and commercial facilities, to fully meet residents’ needs. He also underscored the importance of strict adherence to approved project timelines to ensure timely delivery.
