KUALA LUMPUR: A 57-year-old housewife who lost her right leg due to an infection can finally walk today after the 1MCA Medical Foundation covered most of the cost for a prosthetic leg. The 1MCA Medical Foundation helps cover the medical expenses of Malaysians who are unable to afford them. Now back at home, she said the prosthetic leg unfortunately caused skin allergies and bruises. “The Federal Territory Wanita MCA held a fund-raiser among members to help pay for another prosthetic leg that will hopefully be more suitable for me,” she said.
