House prices rose by €1,000 a month during 2018, a report has found. According to the latest house price report released by Irish property website, daft.ie, prices rose nationally by 5.5%. In Dublin, prices rose by 2.9% this year, compared to an increase of 11.7% in 2017. In the other cities, however, inflation in housing prices in 2018 was comparable to 2017. Prices in Cork rose by 5.8% in 2018, compared to 5.1% in 2017, while in Galway city, prices rose by 6.3% compared to 8.1% a year earlier.
