Of the 46 areas in Region 6, a town in Iloilo was placed in the red category or election area of grave concern; 39 in the orange category or areas with immediate concerns; and six in the yellow category or election areas of concern. Malong said of the 39 areas in the orange category, 28 were in Negros Occidental, but none of them were under the red or yellow category. But Milagros Salud Villanueva, provincial elections supervisor, said the PJSCC had not yet released an official list of areas in Negros Occidental that might be categorized as election hotspots. Villanueva added that even if they issued a list of election areas of concerns, monitoring of these areas was a continuing process and the number of affected areas might change from time to time.
