Hotel occupancy rates reached 90% in Mykonos

Hotel occupancy rates reached 90% in Mykonos in September, the same as in July and August, with arrivals expected to exceed 2019 levels, Andreas Ferentinos, head of New Democracy party’s tourism sector and former president of Mykonos hoteliers said on Tuesday. Ferentinos said that arrivals in Mykonos airport totaled 677,000 so far, from 750,000 in 2019, with around 1,000 flights pending until the completion of this year’s season on October 31, 2022. Arrivals in Mykonos port totaled 493,895 passengers until the end of August. After a satisfactory season, tourist flows are continuing in September as well,” Andros Deputy Mayor for Tourism Nikos Moustakas said. The mayor of Patmos, Lefteris Pentes, said the combination of natural beauty and UNESCO World Heritage monuments, as well as an intense spirituality, left no visitor to the island unmoved.
