Hot, humid air heading for Waterloo Region this week

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Waterloo Region and Wellington County this week, warning of a hot and humid air mass that will settle in southern Ontario. The hot air from Gulf of Mexico will arrive and linger from Tuesday to Thursday, setting highs of 30 to 33 C in the southern part of the province. Some areas may see showers or even Thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday, which could bring a bit of relief, but overnights will be warm, with lows staying up around 20 to 23 C.Cooler air is expected to move through Thursday night.
