The Taiwanese summer is upon us again. This week will see hot and humid conditions across the island with high probability of afternoon thunderstorms, according to the Central Weather Bureau. Temperatures will range from 23 to 31 in the east, 22 to 32 in the north, 23 to 33 in center and a sweltering 24 to 34 in the south. An approaching system will bring more precipitation on Tuesday for the north, northeast, as well as for mountainous regions of Central and Southern Taiwan. Starting on Wednesday and continuing into Saturday, higher temperatures and humidity will cover most of the island, where highs will drift upwards to 33 and 34 C.
