Sir, – Daily we read and hear of the country’s hospitals being under severe pressure due to the large numbers suffering from the flu despite the injection against likely variants being available free to many. Why do more people not avail of this service and why in particular do so many healthcare workers fail to do so? Surely there is no better example that could be given to the general public than to know that the vast majority of hospital staff receive the injection.
