A hospital failed to notify the National Public Health Emergency Team (Nphet) of several hundred of coronavirus cases dating back from mid March until recently. A total of 426 new confirmed cases were announced today by Nphet, a stark increase from yesterday’s 159 new cases. The hospital where the cases took place did not notify Nphet of their cases, which increased by around 10 per day, from mid March until recently. “I think the vast majority of hospitals have taken the responsible and legally mandated action to report these cases,” Dr Holohan said. “We want to encourage appropriate reporting, timely reporting, comprehensive reporting.
