The deceased, a student of Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College, died undergoing treatment, according to police. When some students of Government Shahid Suhrawardy College tried to prevent the protesting students, they vandalised an office room of the college, a private car on the college premises and also vandalised Kabi Nazrul Government College. Several journalists were harassed by students, reportedly led by the students of Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College, while they were covering news about the attacks.
