(Nicholas Hunt/Getty Images via Churchill Downs)It wasn’t a good day for Grand Tito. On-call veterinarian Dr. Keith Latson told NBC Sports that Grand Tito fed on his own excitement leading up to the second incident but that he appeared to be okay. Divisidero went on to beat out World Approval to win the Turf Classic. After handlers calmed him, he was spooked again and fell onto his right side, hitting his head on a flowerbed with a concrete barrier. The thoroughbred was set to race in the Turf Classic, an undercard race to Saturday’s 142nd running of the Kentucky Derby, when a gust of wind carried a piece of debris off of a roof and onto his head.
