For the (brave) family: Annabelle Comes HomeThe lowest domestic grosser of the solo Annabelle films at $74 million, Annabelle Comes Home is rated R, but barely. While not quite the sustained fright that Annabelle: Creation was, this one is still light years better than the borderline laughable original Annabelle. And Crawl features maybe the best horror extra ever. An extended director’s cut got some extra eyeballs in theaters, but it’s nowhere on the Blu-ray – it has been declared an Apple TV exclusive. Hereditary was Rosemary’s Baby, and Midsommar, as is probably a million per cent obvious to anyone who knows anything about horror movies involving cults, is The Wicker Man.
