Notable settlers, artists and athletes dominate the figures of Horowhenua history now found underfoot on a Levin sidewalk. Plaques for a “walk of fame” on Oxford St in Levin were unveiled on Monday night, with more than 100 representatives of the 20 inductees attending a celebration at Horowhenua College. Two inductees, acclaimed agricultural scientist Dr Philip Rolston and world champion Black Sox Robert Tangaroa attended the unveiling.
