Image: Guerilla GamesLegend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild isn't the only major open world game released in the past few weeks. Guerilla Games' Horizon: Zero Dawn received its share of critical praise after its February 28th launch date, and now Sony is announcing an impressive 2.6 million sales in the games' first two weeks, making it the best-selling new first party IP on the PS4. Guerilla Games reffered to Horizon: Zero Dawn as post-post-apocalyptic: it took place in a world where dinosaur-like robots had ruled for many years and humanity had reverted to a paleolithic existence. It's been a strong winter for Sony's first party team, which began the year with a one-two punch of Nioh and Horizon. It's going to be hard for Microsoft and Xbox to match as the year goes on, and it's bound to only widen Sony's lead.
