HOPKINTON — Veteran Deputy Fire Chief Bill Miller has been promoted to lead the department. The Select Board on Tuesday voted 5-0 to name Miller chief. Before coming to Hopkinton, Miller was a firefighter in Southbridge and a call firefighter in Oxford.
