Hoping to keep food bank cupboard full

PHOTO: JESSICA WILSONAs demand for food parcels increases, one Dunedin organisation is hoping to keep its food bank well-stocked. Family Works practice manager Jollene Warrington said the most wanted items were cans and non-perishable goods. During the Covid-19 pandemic, staff continued to supply food parcels to people and families in need. The food bank shelves were kept stocked thanks to some "really generous people" and businesses. Businesses that were forced to shut gave some of their fresh food, which was a welcome addition to the food parcels.
