Ryan Phillips (18) sustained severe injuries after being struck by a car in Marama Ave South, Otatara, while walking home from a work party on September 25. Surgeons were happy with the results, Mr Phillips said. While his son was still sedated, he had asked a few questions about the accident, Mr Phillips said.
