The occupants of two cars left a trail of chaos after shooting fireworks at each other's windows as they sped through through Selwyn chasing each other. Senior Constable Chris Caldwell, of Rolleston police, said the incident in Selwyn on Saturday, resulted in a fire breaking out in a hedge. Police were seeking to identify the two cars, which were a BMW and a Mazda RX8. About 7pm on November 3, a witness reported seeing the cars, which appeared to be chasing each other, in Newtons Road shooting fireworks at each other out the windows. The RX8 is a distinctive metallic blue with tinted windows, black wheels, and white writing on an angle on the rear windscreen.
