Top Hong Kong entertainer Andy Lau Tak-wah was being treated on Wednesday for a pelvic injury after he was thrown off a horse during a film shoot in Thailand, his company has confirmed. During the shoot, the horse reportedly lost control, throwing Lau to the ground and stepping on his back, fracturing his lower back. Lau was taken to a local hospital first, before arriving at the Hong Kong airport late on Wednesday night. He was then sent to the Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital in Happy Valley. “Lau is the pride of Hong Kong and well regarded among the Chinese communities around the world,” Cheung said.
