more-inJapanese auto major Honda Cars on Thursday unveiled its compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) Honda WR-V priced between ₹7.75 lakh and ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The company said the new model is based on the Jazz platform and is the first to be developed by Honda R&D, India, along with Honda R&D, Japan. India is the first country to manufacture and launch the Honda WR-V in the world, which is testimony to Honda Motor Company’s commitment to the Indian market,” Noriake Abe, Chief Operating Officer, Regional Operations (Asia & Oceania), Honda Motor Co., Ltd. said. The WR-V comes with a 5-speed manual transmission petrol engine and 6-speed manual transmission diesel engine. The company claims a fuel efficieny of 17.5 km per litre for the petrol variant and 25.5 km per litre for the diesel variant.
