Police have launched a homicide inquiry after a man was found dead in rural Canterbury this afternoon. Emergency services were called to the scene, between Grange Road and Telegraph Road in Charing Cross, Selwyn, about 3.30pm. Detective Inspector Corrie Parnell said initial enquiries suggested that an altercation took place between two men. While a number of people are currently assisting police, they have urged anyone with further information to come forward. Cordons are in place and will remain there until a thorough scene examination has taken place tomorrow.
