Four East Auckland homeowners are left disgruntled after finding excavated earth landfill illegally dumped on their property. TARANNUM SHAIKH / FAIRFAX NZ Ian Ashurst and the Burtons are stunned about the excavated earth waste left on their property. Council waste planning manager Parul Sood says residents are "responsible for disposing of rubbish dumped on their property". For homes prone to dumping, she advises residents to secure their properties with fences and gates and install cameras if the problems continue.
