The body of Thanongsak Bainiam, 50, was found underwater after his bicycle was spotted lying beside the ditch. A bottle of energy drink filled with cheap white liquor was found behind the bicycle. Police said the man lived in a deserted house nearby and earned his food by washing dishes for a somtam vendor. The accident apparently happened when he was riding his bike home after work, said Pol Captain Krissana Khamkangwal, an officer of Samkhok police station.
