A theatrical homecoming re-enactment awaits visitors to Halcombe's mid-morning remembrance service, and organisers are encouraging people to get on board and dress the part. The town always intended to end World War I centenary anniversary commemorations on a high, and a homecoming service was decided following a speech at a previous service from resident Neil Managh. Unlike many Anzac services, Short said Halcombe's parade was about helping the community to understand the history which formed the district.
