Waikato singer-songwriter Anna Hawkins is making a return to her home town of Morrinsville as part of a series of concerts showcasing music from her just-released album Dreamer. A Waikato upbringing, an Irish heritage and some English experience have combined to influence Waikato singer-songwriter Anna Hawkins’ just-released fourth album. Hawkins will need little introduction to music aficionados in the Waikato. In recent years she has performed at the Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival and in concerts with the Cantando Choir and the Trust Waikato Symphony Orchestra. “The Morrinsville community gave me my start in music performing at the local Country Western Club, and in my first musical show as Brigitta in The Sound of Music at the Little Theatre.
