Home prices in Islington, north London, grows at fastest pace, survey shows


London areas featured prominently in the average price risers - though some borough saw prices drop. Islington in north London has recorded the fastest house price growth in 2020, with the average property up by 13.4 percent to £727,922, Sky News reports. The figures from Halifax also show that, at the other end of the table, the average house price in Paisley, west of Glasgow, fell by 1.7 percent to £138,036. "For example, depending on the borough, you could be looking at the biggest price rise or the biggest falls in the capital. But some other London areas saw a fall in average prices - Hackney homes fell in price by an average of 1.5 percent, which was the second-biggest fall after Paisley.
