Arrangements for BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s accommodation are being made following the verdict of the court, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said. “Everything is being and will be done the way it is directed in the verdict,” he told reporters after a Cabinet meeting on law and order at the Secretariat on Sunday. When asked why Khaleda Zia is being kept as a lone inmate at the old Dhaka Central Jail on Nazimuddin road, the minister said: “The BNP chairperson is a two-time former prime minister and a former MP. The same court on Thursday convicted the BNP chief and sentenced her to five years in jail in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case. She has been kept in the old jail since the verdict.
